Seafood Paradise

Good day,folks! It feels so good to wake up to a chilly weather after being microwaved on a crazy 41 degrees Sunday! Sydney felt like a living oven yesterday when heat waves struck across Sydney, sending out heaps of bushfire warnings. Good to know that Mother Nature has finally calmed down and hence the drop in temperature :)

Such weather is perfect for curling up under your comforter, with a good book (or drama will do) and a mug of Hot Chocolate. Definitely gonna make use of the weather and start reading The Time Traveler's Wife later. Before that, I am gonna get some stuffs done and of course a quick update.

There's this ONE place in Sydney where you're able to enjoy a VERY satisfying meal without having to pay through your throat nor feel a twinge of shit-I-ate-so-much-crap-guilt is the Sydney Fishmarket. It has been a while since my last visit to the fishmarket in August and the tantalising cravings I had since the exam period had brought Claire, Vince & I to the fishmarket last Thursday.


Who says you have to pay through your throat for good food?
Its always good to have cheap AND delicious food!

I think I had easily wobbled up 10 prawns in a span of 10 minutes. The prawns were incredibly juicy! The moment you had your teeth pierced through the shell ( yes, I have the habit of biting the prawn's head. Don't judge me), you can instantly taste the sweetness of the prawns with its juice oozing out of its tender meat.


How is the sashimi complete without its companion- the good 'ol seaweed?

It has been a while, folks!

Hello, everyone!
Apparently, it is true that the amount of free time yours truly is inversely proportionate to the frequency of blogging (Good to know that there are still some physics brain cells exist wtf)
It happens when you have a long ass mental-post-exam-to-do-list which you started to keep track since well... forever. Things such as dramas, storybooks, social outings which I have been severely deprived of since god knows when, seek.com.au (since I am now unemployed and seek is my new best friend wtf), work (tho my work place is being extremely anal about the shifts- seriously, WHY EMPLOY SO MANY NOOBS WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE ENOUGH JOBS FOR YOUR OLD STAFFS? -) and the list goes on....
(Well, in my defense, I actually recorded a video after my last paper on Saturday but blogspot wouldn't upload it and my youtube is down again. So yeap =.=")

I had a quiet weekend. Quiet weekend is defined as Adeline STAYING IN on a SATURDAY NIGHT, AFTER HER LAST AND FINAL PAPER AS A UNI STUDENT.
Quiet is probably an understatement =.="

So what exactly did I do on Saturday?
The usual thereputic post-exam-cleaning up was definitely on the list and of course I spent my entire weekend with Lipstick Jungle :)

We had a hard time deciding what to do after lunch the night before and after digressing 8013812312308 times in our msn-chatroom, we settled for 2012 instead of Karaoke.



It was definitely a wise decision made, cos this show is awesome. I really liked it albeit it was quite predictable like you know how the human is able to run/drive/fly faster than the fire or waves.... But it was a really good movie overall, IMO that is.

ps: note to self, always bring a cardigan/ jacket into cinema even though the temperature outside feels like microwave cos I was freezing my ass off halfway through the movie =.=" Thanks for the jacket, Jasey, I mean Jason for being un-slack for once.:)

As for Tuesday, I was meant to go for an interview @ North Sydney, which got canceled last minute (quite literally). Hence, I had some stuffs done before meeting up with Leena (after failing to meet up throughout the year =.=") in the city for lunch and movie (thanks for the shout, girl!)


Since Leena had something before she came and yours truly is trying to cut down on excessive food, we shared a Double Salmon + Rice @ Pepper Lunch.

I Still Want My Arteries

Good day folks! How was your weekend? My weekend consists of options, options and more options =.="
From put-call-parity to butterfly spread to Black-Scholes model.... all these formulas and theory is draining my brain dry. wtf
Hiatus doesn't really work when you intend to, especially during exam time. Where else can one rant besides the good ol' online journal? ANYWAYS, decided to do a quick post after a beefy lunch.

For those who don't already know, I am definitely a seafood person. Beef was never my favourite food, let alone steak/beef patty.
However, while I was taking my HowIMetYourMother-Study-Break, the episode where Marshall was trying to look for his PERFECT burger has definitely led to my unusual cravings for burger. Yes, you heard me right, I craved for burger after that.
For the record, I NEVER craved for a burger for as far as I could remember. The only 2 times I would consume a burger is when my friends decided to have Maccas OR after a late night out (cos that's pretty much the only place open @ 3am in the morning).


So, I have decided to go for a Maccas Run (literally wtf- ran around my neighbourhood before heading to Maccas) during my lunch time and get the Mighty Angus Burger and see whats the hype all about.
Final verdict: Pretty good as the beef is pretty succulent and juicy, accompanied with my all time favourite bacon and some onions. Definitely recommended for beef lovers! :)
As for me, I think I will stick to the good ol' Chicken Deluxe.

Time Out

The weather has cooled down alot after the late night shower last night. For once, I actually appreciate the rain.I swear my brain was semi-fried yesterday, with the temperature sitting at an unusual 32 degrees at 9pm in the middle of spring.
Perfect weather to curl up on my bed and indulge myself with the latest episode of Gossip Girls. I <3 Chuck Bass!!!! ♥


No, I am not done with my exams, just a self-declared relax night after 2 papers, before the hardcore nerding resumes tomorrow.
I am glad that my timetable this semester is nicely spread out albeit I will be finishing my exam a week later than most of my friends.
But trust me,after a crazy-3-exams-in-24-hours-timetable last semester, anything spread out is a blessing to me.

Hiatus

I might have mentioned it in the previous posts that its that time of the year again, where uni students are all swarmed with work, and library is almost their second home.

After all these years of trekking to state library/uni library/ ASB (Australian School of Business), I have reached the stage of where I cbf traveling 2 hours (that's if I am lucky that day and no waiting time is necessary) just to study. Not to mention, carrying textbooks/notes/laptop which easily weigh up to at least 5kgs. Good for toning up my flabby arms wtf but I would be exhausted from carrying them and trekking.


- That's my tired and exhausted face wtf. And yes, it was pretty cold in the past few days-

As some of you may know, this is my FINAL semester as a student :( Hence, its my FINAL chance to go all out and strive for success wtf. My target atm is to achieve a term WAM of 79 in order to pull my fked up WAM (thanks to Jap last sem) up to 75 again. Unfortunately, realistically speaking, 79 term WAM is the impossible mission I have to achieve based on the crazily hectic subjects I am doing. I shall start praying for a miraculous increase in my intelligence in the next few days wtf.

There are several signs from God that there's still chance and one should never give up wtf and I should study my ass off too if I wish to succeed.
First,my facebook and youtube are down. THEN, my wireless network decided to screw me over, so yeap, thats right NO INTERNET FOR ME :( THANK GOD FOR MOBILE INTERNET or I would rot by now :(

GRAND FINALE!

A sudden rush of mixed emotions flooded me while I was waiting for the Express Bus (10) to the city under the scorching sun (literally burning, crazy Sydney weather hit 31 degrees today and I forgotten to slap on some sunblock before leaving my house. Smart ass I am =.=").
Students were trying to get across Anzac Parade as quick as they can, hoping that they are able to make it up to Central Express (895) which is anchored at the corner of the road. Everyone wants to get home asap, after a long day @ uni.

Yeap. I have attended my final class, not of the semester BUT as a UNSW student today.
After my final paper on the 14th of November 2009, I am no longer a student.
I am DONE as a university student, and its time for me to have my "debut" in what you call the "real world".

It seems so... surreal.
It feels like yesterday where I was battling between University of Newcastle (as I was offered a 50% scholarship) and UNSW ( whereby the staggering fees are 3 times of what I have to fork out should I have gone to University of Newcastle).
It feels like it was not too long ago where I was anxious yet excited at the same time when I first step foot in UNSW.
As much as uni shits me all the time, with the crazy workload, crazy assessments, all the shit I have to go through with irresponsible and unreliable group members; uni life is one of the best time I ever had and will treasure forever.
Having blessed with my wonderful parents, I was given the opportunity to study in Sydney (one of the BEST decisions I have made in my life) and explore different culture as well as meeting TONNES of lovely people (you guys know who you are :P).
And now, my uni life raced by with a blink of an eye :(


Enough of my dramatic whinge wtf, and I shall digress.

I have attended my last university party as a UNSW student last Thursday.
It was non-other-than the UNSW Oktoberfest, which was APPARENTLY the BEST in Sydney. (which I am pretty sure, it will not be anymore next year after the INSANELY MASSIVE CROWD this year!)

Think that I am exaggerating?


The line was UP TO THE LAW BUILDING when Flo & I arrived @ 4pm (which was when the entrance will be opened). Seriously? Law building?

My verdict?
Well, unless you are a HUGE fan of beer and if you made it in before the crowd started to flow in (which I rkn its probably around 2ish =.=), this year's Oktoberfest was quite a let down. It looked like a mini drugfest when we left as there were quite a handful of cops waiting outside T_T (apparently, there was a fight inside *shrugs* and UNSW was probably afraid of the pandemonium that might have arise due to the refusal of entry before the sky turned dark)
